Account books of businesses and individuals from the Sayville area, including seven volumes of journals and ledgers of William F. Lecluse, harness maker and carriage trimmer in Sayville, 18883-1903; an account book kept by Lecluse as guardian for the Yarrington children during their minority, ca. 1890; and a minute book, with list of shareholders, kept by Lecluse as secretary of the Sayville Steamboat Company, 1894-1900. Also three volumes of ledgers and daybooks for farm and household expenses and the carting business of George Stryker and Son, 1912-1917; six account books of Marie Caroline (Mrs. Charles A.) Post of New York City and Bayport, L.I., recording housekeeping, hotel, travel and automobile expenses, 1878-1914, as well as one volume of accounts for her children; an insurance company account book which includes a ms. autobiography of Andrew D. Foster, ca. 1880; and miscellaneous daybooks, ledgers, inventories and notebooks from general stores, grocery stores, hardware firms, a milkman and the oyster trade.
